Blowing engine D6

The Wilesco steam engine D6 has a high-gloss polished and nickel-plated brass boiler as well as an oscillating cylinder. The water level indicator is designed as an inspection glass, so the water level can be monitored at any time during operation. The boiler contents are 135 cm³ with a boiler size of 100 x 45 mm. The flywheel of this machine with its diameter of 70 mm ensures a smooth running. The screwed-on Domdampfpfeife can be operated at any time during operation by a special lever. Their lovely sound reminds a little of Emma, ??the locomotive from "Jim Knopf and Lukas the locomotive driver". When mounting the lever for the steam pipe of your D6, please ensure that the lever of black, heat-resistant plastic is facing outwards, so you can operate the lever during operation without touching the boiler.


Tips for using your Wilesco D6

Depending on the temperature of the filled water, the steam engine D6 requires approx. 5 to 8 minutes until sufficient pressure builds up. Now you can manually crank the flywheel. As is generally the case with steam engines from Wilesco it is important to ensure that there is always sufficient water in the boiler during the driving operation. Please remember to put steam engine oil on the piston rod of the machine BEFORE every new start of the machine to ensure sufficient lubrication of the moving parts.
