Track inspector's officeand living quarters. The prototype of this model is located on Highway 101 between Freiberg and Siebenlehn in Saxony. The idyllic scene takes up little room on a layout or diorama. Old photographs and explanations provided by the current owner make for absolute accuracy, down to the original carpenters' mistake on the timbering of the gabled roof. The main building contained the animals' stalls, kitchen, living rooms and bedrooms. The brick extension at the back was formerly the bakery, and the little wooden house still serves as an outhouse. The model has a sliding door in the barn. The romantic buildings remind us of the hard life in the countryside in bygone days. Authentic historical model
